Finding the source of a leak is often not as straightforward as you may think. Even when water is pooling on the ground, it doesn’t always mean that the leak is located in this area as water can flow underground for some distance before surfacing.
We use the latest equipment to detect underground pipes and services, trace their routes and then using specialist listening devices we can often pinpoint a leak within a very small radius minimizing the excavation required & associated disruption.
Unfortunately leaks from plastic pipes and deeply buried pipes are quieter and harder to detect, so in some cases it is necessary to excavate in order to pinpoint the leak, but we always try to avoid this if possible.
